Alfie's Origin Story

"Can we have an Alfie story please?"

Inspired by his love of his Austin Mini, the adventures of Alfie and his friends were first told to Michael’s children in 2006.

With the title chosen by them and no idea of an ending, the story begun.

Alfie's First Public Readings

It wasn’t long before the Alfie stories became popular with family friends as well.

The very first public reading of an Alfie story was at a family birthday party nearly fourteen years ago.

This year, Michael was invited to a local summer fete to introduce Alfie and his friends to the next generation of classic mini enthusiasts.

About Michael

Michael grew up on the Isle of Wight, not far from a town like Splodness­-on-­Sea. He penned the first story in 2009, with illustrations created by his wife, Lisa.
